Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy Announced as Recipient of the 2016 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award
BOSTON – The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation today announced that Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy is the 2016 recipient of the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award™. Amid security concerns following the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, Malloy courageously defended the U.S. resettlement of Syrian refugees and personally welcomed a family of Syrian refugees to New Haven after they had been turned away by another state. The prestigious award for political courage will be presented by Jack Schlossberg, President Kennedy’s grandson, at a ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston on May 1, 2016.
