Kennedy and members of his staff from various individuals of Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas concerning the role of religion in the 1960 campaign, the prospect of a Catholic president, the distribution of anti-Catholic materials, and support for and opposition to the Senator’s campaign. Also included is correspondence with Reverend John W. Turnbull and an article written by Reverend Turnbull titled, "The Clergy Face Mr. Kennedy," regarding Senator Kennedy's address to the Houston Ministers Conference.

Kennedy and members of his staff from various individuals of Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Tennessee concerning the role of religion in the 1960 campaign, the prospect of a Catholic president, the distribution of anti-Catholic materials, and support for and opposition to the Senator’s campaign. Also included are letters regarding Senator Kennedy’s decision not to speak at a memorial service for four interfaith chaplains who died during World War II.
