In this interview Hackett discusses meeting Robert F. Kennedy [RFK] for the first time at Milton Academy and their continued friendship; working on John F. Kennedy's 1960 presidential campaign, including observations of other members of the campaign staff; the lead up to and working on RFK’s 1968 presidential campaign, including tensions between three different camps and Edward M. Kennedy’s role in the campaign; how RFK changed over the course of his 1968 campaign; and why Hackett thought RFK would have been an unpopular President, among other issues.
