This file contains copies and a draft of Senator John F. Kennedy’s speech titled, “Aid to Depressed Areas,” given in Huntington, West Virginia. In his speech he proposes an Area Redevelopment program to assist economically distressed areas in West Virginia through the creation of jobs and industry research and development. Of note, the draft contains notations by Senator Kennedy.
