This folder contains copies of a speech titled, "The Steel Strike and the Taft-Hartley Law," given by Senator John F. Kennedy at the Washington County Democratic Dinner in Fayette City, Pennsylvania. In his speech Senator Kennedy discusses the steel strike and criticizes President Dwight D. Eisenhower's management of the situation. The Senator also condemns the usage of the Taft-Hartley emergency injunction and suggests a re-examination of the law's emergency provisions.
