This scrapbook, compiled by Joseph P. “Joe” Kennedy, Jr., documents his education, travels, and other aspects of his life from 1936 to 1940. The scrapbook contains clippings, photographs, postcards, and printed ephemera related to his time at Harvard University; his father, Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr.’s tenure as United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom; trips to various European countries; and social events and activities. Newspaper and periodical clippings cover a wide range of topics, including Joe, Jr.’s athletic career and involvement in student government at Harvard; the Kennedy family’s arrival in London, England, following Joe, Sr.'s appointment as ambassador; the prospect of British involvement in the global conflict that became World War II; Joe, Sr.'s opinions on and actions related to the war; and other political and society news and events. Others featured in clippings and pictured in photographs include Joe, Jr.’s mother, Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy; his siblings, John F. “Jack” Kennedy, Rosemary Kennedy, Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy, Eunice Kennedy, Patricia Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Jean Kennedy, and Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy; his grandparents, John F. "Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald and Mary Josephine Hannon Fitzgerald; his cousin, Joseph Francis Gargan, Jr.; and family friend, Hugh Fraser. Printed ephemera pasted into the scrapbook include invitations to various parties, receptions, luncheons, dinners, weddings, meetings, and banquets, including a ball at Buckingham Palace; event programs; menus; tickets; and calling cards. Of note are a set of fingerprints that Joe, Jr., had taken during a visit to the Boston Police Headquarters; an envelope containing five bird feathers; photographs of Joe, Jr., dressed in drag for a Harvard theater production; clippings related to his purported relationship with figure skater Megan Taylor; a letter from British Member of Parliament, Anthony Eden; photographic prints and postcards that capture a Kennedy family trip to St. Moritz, Switzerland; a photograph of Joe, Jr., aboard the R.M.S. Mauretania; clippings related to Joe, Jr.’s voyage from London to New York City, New York; Spanish paper currency; an unsent postcard addressed to Katherine “Kikoo” Conboy, nanny to the Kennedy children, signed by Joe, Jr.; a photographic postcard signed by Alois Lang, the actor who portrayed Jesus in the 1934 performance of the Oberammergau Passion Play in Bavaria, Germany; contact prints of strips of 35mm black and white negatives that capture scenes from Joe, Jr.’s 1939 trip to Spain with Kathleen following the end of the Spanish Civil War, including images of Spanish Loyalist tanks and damage from the siege of the Alcázar of Toledo; a photographic postcard featuring an image of Adolf Hitler shaking hands with Hermann Göring; signed portrait photos of several unidentified women; and prints of four watercolor illustrations depicting scenes from the Spanish Civil War, credited to “Artillery Lieutenant Luis Serrano.” Other destinations pictured in photographic prints and postcards include Warsaw, Poland; Cannes, France; Capri, Rome, Venice, Naples, and Amalfi, Italy; Copenhagen, Denmark; Czechoslovakia; Killarney and other locations in Ireland; and Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Russia. Original handwritten captions and inscriptions are written in black ink on some of the leaves. This photograph album contains 164 photographic prints and postcards, 134 newspaper and periodical clippings, 29 pieces of printed ephemera, six banknotes and two banknote fragments, four pieces of correspondence, and four prints of watercolor drawings.

This photograph album, compiled by Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, documents various moments in the lives of the Kennedy family from 1925 to 1928. The gold stamped title on the cover reads, “Photographs.” Photographs capture Rose and her family at their residences in Brookline, Massachusetts, and in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx, New York; at Malcolm Cottage, the home the family rented on Marchant Avenue in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts; at Craigville Beach in Centerville, Massachusetts; at the Toy Town Tavern resort in Winchendon, Massachusetts; and at other locations with family and friends. Also of note are photographs of the Kennedy children posing with a baby elephant at the Hippodrome Theatre in New York City; John F. “Jack” Kennedy dressed in a suit for his First Communion and later for his Confirmation; and Joseph P. “Joe” Kennedy, Jr., and Rosemary Kennedy (sometimes referred to as “Rose” in original captions) dressed for their Confirmations. Other Kennedy family members and friends pictured in photographs include Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr.; Kathleen "Kick" Kennedy (sometimes referred to as “Kak” in original captions); Eunice Kennedy; Patricia “Pat” Kennedy; Robert F. “Bobby/Bob” Kennedy; Joseph, Sr.’s father, Patrick Joseph Kennedy; Rose’s parents, John F. “Honey Fitz” Fitzgerald and Mary Josephine Hannon Fitzgerald; Rose’s sister, Agnes Fitzgerald; Rose’s niece, Marion Eunice Fitzgerald, and nephew, John F. “Jack” Fitzgerald (the children of her brother, Thomas A. Fitzgerald); nanny to the Kennedy children, Katherine “Kikoo” Conboy; and family friend, Edward E. Moore. All leaves contain original handwritten captions in white ink, although the handwriting does not belong to Rose and the writer has not been determined. This photograph album contains 220 photographic prints, five photographic postcards, and two photograph fragments.

The gold stamped title on the cover reads, “Photographs.” Photographs capture their home life at their primary residences in Brookline, Massachusetts, and Bronxville, New York; time spent with family and friends at their secondary residences in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, and Palm Beach, Florida; and other travels and events. The album also contains numerous portrait photos. Those pictured in photographs include Rose; her husband, Joseph P. “Joe” Kennedy, Sr.; her children, Joseph P. “Joe” Kennedy, Jr., John F. “Jack” Kennedy, Rosemary Kennedy, Kathleen Kennedy, Eunice Kennedy, Patricia Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Jean Kennedy, and Edward M. Kennedy; her parents, John F. “Honey Fitz” Fitzgerald and Mary Josephine Hannon Fitzgerald; her sister, Agnes Fitzgerald, and brother-in-law, Joseph Francis Gargan, Sr.; governess to the Kennedy children, Alice Cahill; nanny to the Kennedy children, Katherine Conboy; and family friends, Viscountess Nancy Astor, Kirk LeMoyne “Lem” Billings, and Mary O’Keefe. Aquitania during their voyage to New York City from Europe in 1928; the wedding of Agnes and Joseph Gargan; Joe, Jr., and Jack with their football teams at the Dexter School in Brookline, Massachusetts; and Rose and Joe, Sr., with actor Fred Thomson and screenwriter Frances Marion in California. Original handwritten inscriptions are written in black ink and pencil on the versos of some photographs. This photograph album contains 81 photographic prints.

This photograph album was first compiled by Rosemary Kennedy as a birthday gift for her sister, Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy, in 1929, with later photographs added by Kathleen. The gold stamped title on the cover reads, “Photographs.” An original handwritten inscription on the inside front cover reads, "Kathleen, From Rose happy birthday Feb. 1929," in white ink. Original captions are written in white ink and pencil in both Rosemary’s and Kathleen’s hand. Photographs document the family life, travels, and social activities of the Kennedy family from 1927 to 1936. In addition to Rosemary (referred to as “Rose” in original captions) and Kathleen, those pictured include their parents, Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy; their siblings, Joseph P. “Joe” Kennedy, Jr., John F. "Jack" Kennedy, Eunice Kennedy, Patricia "Pat" Kennedy, Jean Kennedy, and Edward M. "Ted/Teddy" Kennedy; their aunt, Agnes Fitzgerald Gargan, and her husband Joseph Francis Gargan, Sr.; governesses to the Kennedy children, Alice Cahill and Elizabeth Dunn; nanny to the Kennedy children, Katherine “Kikoo” Conboy; family friends, Edward E. “Eddie” Moore, Kirk LeMoyne “Lem” Billings, Mary O’Keefe, Mary Veronica “Von” Rice, and Mary Frances "Sancy" Falvey; and family dogs, Buddy and Skippy. Other locations and historic sites featured in photographs include the White House and United States Capitol building in Washington, D.C.; the National Monument to the Forefathers and Plymouth Rock in Plymouth, Massachusetts; the Potomac River; and George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate in Virginia. Original handwritten inscriptions are written in blue ink and pencil on the versos of many photographs. This photograph album contains 154 photographic prints, two photographic postcards, and one contact print of a strip of four 35mm black and white negatives.
