"Al" Simpson of Wyoming debate illiteracy in the United States and a new program in which college students can volunteer to tutor in local schools and adult education centers in exchange for course credit. Senator Kennedy states that this program, called the Literacy Corps, was approved by Congress and signed into law by President Ronald Reagan as part of an omnibus trade bill.
