The folder includes materials concerning Robert Donovan's book PT 109: John F. Kennedy in World War II, including a draft of the jacket copy. The folder also includes correspondence from Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. and screenwriter Vincent X. Flaherty regarding a PT 109 film; letters arranging the White House visit of A.R. "Reg" Evans, an Australian Coast Watcher who helped rescue the crew of PT 109; and copies of correspondence with Kohei Hanami, Lieutenant Commander of the Japanese destroyer Amagiri, which collided with PT 109 on August 2, 1943.
