President Kennedy visits the Marine Recruit Depot in San Diego, boards the Carrier Oriskany, boards the Carrier USS Kitty Hawk where he observes flight maneuvers and addresses the crew, and visits the U.S. Naval Ordnance Test Station, China Lake, California, where he observes missile firings.
