This folder contains copies of the Congressional Record containing a speech by Senator John F. Kennedy titled, “The Power of Labor for the Good of America,” discussing the history and legacy of labor in the United States. Within his speech the Senator requests the inclusion of the text of a pamphlet by George Meany, President of the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor, Congress of Industrial Organizations), titled, “Power – For What?” concerning the power of labor and trade unions in America.
