Sound recording of the radio program "Face Off." Senator Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy of Massachusetts and Senator Alan K. "Al" Simpson of Wyoming debate pending legislation on oil spills. The legislation would address how much liability oil tanker owners would bear for an oil spill, and establish strike forces in U.S. Coast Guard Districts to ensure quick responses to oil spills. The episode aired on Tuesday, June 26, 1990, on the Mutual Broadcasting System.
